RABORN-Mrs. Imogene Hensley Raborn, age 73, of Ridge Spring, S. C., beloved wife of Claude Earl Raborn, Jr. and daughter of the late Pern Eastman Hensley and the late Lillie Jane Haire, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 12, 2012. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Claudia and John Seigler of Augusta, Ga.; a son, Leslie Raborn of Aiken, S.C.; a brother, Laverne Hensley of Chuckay, TN.; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was born in Greenville, TN., but has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. During her working years, she enjoyed working as a nursing assistant. She was a dedicated member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Ridge Spring. She was a loving, devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched along the way; however, “To live is Christ and to die is gainâ€, and she has just made a transition to her eternal home, where she will receive her much deserved “Crown of Lifeâ€. A service celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Ridge Spring, S.C. with Rev. Vollie Gibbs officiating. The interment will follow at the church cemetery. The pallbearers will be Travis Fincher, Bert Richardson, George Raborn, Jr., Donnie Raborn, Bryon Cook and Bruce Stubbs. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening, Saturday, January 14th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorials, in Mrs. Raborn’s memory, may be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery fund or to the building fund, 164 Mt. Pleasant Rd., Ridge Spring, S.C. 29129. Mrs. Raborn will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
