Hulitt Hawkins

AIKEN, S. C.-Hulitt Hawkins, age 84, husband of the late Evelyn Bitters Hawkins and son of the late Frank Hawkins and the late Lillie Day Hawkins, entered into rest on Friday, February 17, 2017. He is survived by daughters, Diane Hudson and Darlene Raines; a son, Douglas Hawkins; nine grandchildren, two angel grandbabies, thirteen great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and two angel great grandbabies. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth “Kenny Boy” Hawkins; brothers, James, Brunson and Eugene "Gene" Hawkins; sisters, Alice Jackson, Marie Green, Leila Hurt and Ethel Hawkins. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was a retired self-employed truck driver. He was a member of Aiken Congregational Holiness Church. He shall be greatly missed by his family and all whose lives he touched during the 84 years that God granted him on this earth; however, he shall live on forever in the hearts of his loved ones. Celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, February 21st, 2017 at 2 O'clock pm,at the New Beginning Congregational Holiness Church in Aiken SC with the Rev. Charles Wilson and Rev. Mike Bell officiating. Interment will be private. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
