HOMER RAY ADAMS

ADAMS-Mr. Homer Ray “PaPa” Adams, age 59 of Langley, S.C. entered into rest at the VA Hospital in Augusta, Ga. on Saturday, December 4, 2010. He was the husband of the late Patricia Hutto Adams and the son of the late Jack Andrew Adams and the late Pauline Salters Adams. He is survived by a sister, Annie May Adams Winston; two brothers, Pat Adams and James Adams all of Tennessee; stepdaughters, Sonja Taylor of Warrenville, S.C., Kaye Beckner and Renee Rushton both of Wagener, S.C.; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. He was born in McKenzie, Tennessee but has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was retired from Hamburg Industries. He worked for Graniteville Company for seventeen years and the Waffle House for twenty years. He was a US Army Veteran, having served his country during the Vietnam War. He attended the Redemption Center in Langley, S.C. He loved his family very much; and he had a big heart, as he would help anyone who needed him. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched along the way. A celebration of his life service will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Williams and Rev. Mike Massaro officiating. The interment will follow at the Langley Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Blake Benson, Derrick Vickers, Anthony Taylor, Brad Hardy, Austen Taylor and Todd Kelsey. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening, December 7th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.
