Herta E. Mosshammer Duguay

Ms. Herta Elizabeth Mosshammer Duguay, age 85 of Aiken, S. C., entered into eternal rest at Trinity on Laurens on Monday, October 30, 2017. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Claudia and Larry Smith of Aiken, S.C.; grandchildren, Kelly (Kenny) Odom and Jody (Michelle) Smith; a great grandson, Brandon Odom. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph D. Duguay and her parents, Fritz and Rosa Wimmer Mosshammer. She was born in Salzburg, Austria but has spent most of her life in Aiken County, S.C. She was of the Catholic Faith. The family stated that she enjoyed square dancing and was a member of the Master City Squares in Augusta, Ga., and she was also a member of the German Friendship Club in Augusta. She enjoyed camping and traveling; infact, she had made several trips back to her hometown in Salzburg. The family wishes to extend a special “Thank You” to the nurses and staff at Trinity on Laurens in Aiken and to Regency Hospice for the wonderful love and care that they gave to their loved one during her illness. Also, a special “Thanks” to Barbara Shaw, who loved and cared for her like she was her own mother. She shall be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched during the 85 years that God granted her on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the lives of her friends and loved ones. A service, celebrating her life and homegoing, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Paul W. Noe officiating. The interment will follow at Pineview Memorial Gardens in North Augusta. S. C. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
