HENRY "BILL" MCCORD

McCord-Entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 14, 2010, Mr. Henry G. “Bill” McCord, Jr., age 77 of North Augusta, S. C., beloved husband of Mary Buckner McCord and son of the late Grady McCord and the late Ruby Jones McCord. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Susan McCord of Langley, S. C.; sons and daughters-in-law: Joey & Karen McCord, Chris and Krissa McCord, both of North Augusta, S. C. and Mac and Michelle McCord of Graniteville, S. C. and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Wallace McCord. He was born in Augusta, Ga. but has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was an avid golfer and of course, he loved gardening, as he was the owner of McCord’s Nursery and Landscaping in Graniteville, S.C. for a number of years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched during the 77 years that God granted him on this earth. A celebration of life service will be held at Christian Heritage Church in Graniteville, S. C. on Friday, December 17, 2010 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Jody Padgett officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Graniteville, S.C. The pallbearers will be Tippy Kirkland, Mike Mashburn, Art Simons, Roger Boerstler, Aubrey Sheffield and Gary Adams. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening, December 16th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Memorials, in Bill’s honor, may be made to Christian Heritage Church, P. O. Box 237, Graniteville, S. C. 29829. Bill will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service on Friday. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main Street, Graniteville, S.
