YAUN-Mrs. Helen Busbee Yaun, age 81, of Graniteville, S.C., beloved wife of Andrew Yaun and daughter of the late Russell Busbee and the late Valerie Kennedy Busbee, entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 11, 2011. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Lloyd and Mary Pat Yaun of Graniteville, S.C.; a sister, Frances B. Davis of Augusta, Ga.; a brother, Lloyd Russell Busbee, Sr. of Aiken, S.C. and the love of her life; her granddaughter, Lindsey Yaun. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Graniteville, S.C. She was a retired teacher with the Aiken County School District. She was an avid reader and a very smart lady with a great determination. She started college at the age of thirty-one and finished with an EDS Degree. She was a lifetime member and Sunday school teacher at St. John United Methodist Church in Graniteville. She was a member of the Eastern Star, and a charter member of Houndslake Country Club in Aiken. Yes, this very active and intelligent lady shall be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Earth’s loss is Heaven’s gain. A service celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. John United Methodist Church in Graniteville, S.C. with Rev. Alan Quarles officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Keith Herrington, Grant Overstreet, Joel Randall, Dwight Smith and Jonathan Adams. The family will reccive friends at the funeral home Monday evening, November 14th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorials, in her honor, may be made to her church, P.O. Box 38, Graniteville, S.C. 29829.
