HELEN POSEY WILSON

December 31, 1969 — January 16, 2011

WILSON-Entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 16, 2011, Ms. Helen Posey Wilson, age 87 of Warrenville, S.C., wife of the late Clarence W. Wilson and daughter of the late Frank Posey and the late Gladys Hewitt Posey Pearson. She is survived by daughters, Cheryll Fava of Greenville, S.C. and Judy VanBuren and her fiancée, Milland Holley of Warrenville, S.C.; sisters, Zora Lee Freeman of Warrrenville, S.C., Mary Grice and her husband, Hastings of Graniteville, S.C. and Nell Medlock of Warrenville, S.C.; a brother, Frank “Reggie” Posey of Alexandria, Virginia; five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was born in Warrenville, S.C. and has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County. She retired from Graniteville Company after 42 years of dedicated service. She was a active member of Warrenville First Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class and taught Sunday School, GA’s and Vacation Bible School for many years. She was a member of the Warrenville Women’s Club and the Missionary Society of Warrenville. She loved her family very much and was always there for them to do whatever she could to make their life easier; yes, you might say that she had a degree in homemaking, as she was a very successful mother and homemaker. Needless to say, she shall be greatly missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched during the 87 years that God granted her on this earth; however life for her has not ended, she has just made a transition to her Heavenly home. A service celebrating her life will be conducted on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Arthur Zawislak and Rev. Charles Wilson officiating. The interment will be private. Grandsons, John Grubbs, Jeff Grubbs, Dr. Alex Peavey, James VanBuren, Jr., Josh VanBuren, Hunter Grubbs and Shane Peavey will serve as Honorary pallbearers. Members of her Sunday School Class will also serve as Honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Tuesday evening, January 18th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations, in Ms. Wilson’s honor, be made to Warrenville First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 338, Warrenville, S.C. 29851. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.C. 29829 is in charge of the funeral arrangements. To sign our guest registry, you can log on to www.napierfuneralhomeinc.com.
