Helen Hite Day

DAY- Helen P. Hite Day, age 94, of Aiken, S.C., daughter of the late Yancey Hite, Sr. and the late Maggie Ripley Hite, entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 3, 2015. She is survived by a son, Bobby (Dotty) Day; a sister, Lorie Storey and a twin brother, Earl Hite all of Aiken, S.C.; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, five nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley McDaniel and brothers, Theodore “Dozey” Hite and Yancey Hite, Jr. She was born in Augusta, Ga. and has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. Many years ago, she was a dedicated nurse with the Old Aiken Hospital. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was a kind and special lady who was always loving and always loved by everyone. She shall be greatly missed by her family and friends. Death is not the end, as she has just made that great transition to her new Heavenly home in a land of endless tomorrows, where the soul shall never die, and we will never have to say goodbye. She has finished life’s journey and is now at peace with her maker, the Lord Jesus Christ. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. The family wlll receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening, August 8th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. There will be no service and the interment will be private.
