Hazel Owens Hare

December 31, 1969 — July 17, 2013

HARE-Ms. Hazel Owens Hare, age 95, of Graniteville, S.C., widow of Elijah B. Hare and daughter of the late Ellis A. and Sara Thompson Owens, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 17, 2013. She is survived by special nieces, Carolyn Hendrix of Graniteville, S.C., Jessie Lybrand of Aiken, S.C. and several other nieces and nephews. She was born in Graniteville, S.C. and has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County. She retired from Graniteville Company after over thirty years of service. Up to her failing health, she was dedicated member of St. James Lutheran Church in Graniteville, S.C. She was a loving aunt, friend and just a good Christian lady. She shall be greatly missed by her family, friends at Trinity on Laurens in Aiken and all whose lives she touched during the 95 precious years that God granted her on this earth. Although she lived a long good life, even now, her life has not ended with death, as God has promised eternal life for all who believe in Him. She has just made that transition to her long awaited and much deserved Heavenly home. “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”. A graveside service celebrating her life and home going will be held at the Graniteville Cemetery on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Barry T. Antley officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the graveside by 10:45 AM. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Memorials, in her honor, may be made to Trinity on Laurens, 213 Laurens St. NW, Aiken, S.C. 29801. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Trinity on Laurens for the wonderful care that they gave to their loved one during the years she spent there. Napier Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.C. 29829 is in charge of the funeral arrangements. You can sign our guest register by logging on to www.napierfuneralhomeinc.com
