BAKER-Mr. Harvey Franklin “Burt†Baker, age 78, of Gloverville, S.C. loving husband for 51 years to Constance “Connie†Boynton Baker, enterd into eternal rest on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at his residence. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Maryann (Sam) Lewis of Augusta, Ga., Dina (Dixon) Huiet of Anderson, S.C. and Rachel (Woody) Nichols of Aiken, S.C.; sons, Bruce Baker, Burt T. Baker both of Gloverville, S.C. and Harvey Franklin “Butch†(Connie) Baker of Augusta, Ga.; a sister, Vivian Fail of Gloverville, S.C.; sixteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana but has been a lifetime resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was a retired proud Lineman and a member of Union International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for fifty years. He was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Gloverville, S. C. Next to his family, he really loved his truck and enjoyed riding around in it and helping people. Yes, he was truly a people person. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, and he shall be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched during his lifetime year on earth; however, death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his family and loved ones. He has finished his journey and is now at peace with his maker. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Sister Maureen presiding. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. The interment will follow the service at the Langley Cemetery in Langley, S.C.
