Harold Lewis Lamb, Sr.

December 31, 1969 — August 16, 2013

LAMB-Mr. Harold Lewis Lamb, Sr., age 80, of Aiken, S.C., loving husband for 48 years to the late Mary Helen Busbee Lamb and son of the late Bud Lamb and the late Martha Lee Franklin Lamb, entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 16, 2013. He is survived by daughters, Reba (Merle) Davis of Aiken, S.C. and Wanda (Chris) Barnes of Warrenville, S.C.; sons, Harold (Debbie) Lamb, Jr. of Belvedere, S.C. and Dale (Pam) Lamb of Clearwater, S.C.; a sister, Hattie (James) Murphy of Aiken, S.C.; grandchildren, Duane Lamb, Tanya (Johnny) Day, Cheryl (Jason) Davis, Tammy (Chris) Hagan, Lisa (David) Davis, Brandi (Ken) Phillips, Paige Barnes, Lance (Paige) Durden, Lauren (Ben) Hanna and Wil Lamb; ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He was born in Vaucluse, S.C. and has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was a member of Clearwater First Baptist Church. He was also an avid Clemson fan and a member of Clemson Iptay for years. The family stated that he was a loving father, grandfather and friend. He was a quite, kind and friendly man, who never met a stranger. He shall be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched during the 80 precious years that God granted him on this earth; however, death cannot destroy precious memories. He shall live on forever in the hearts of his family and loved ones. He has finished his journey and is now at peace with his maker. A service celebrating his life will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Napier Funeral Home with Chaplain Kenneth Bailey officiating. The interment will follow at the Busbee Family Cemetery in Eureka, S.C. The Pallbearers will be Lance Durden, Wil Lamb, Ken Phillips, Johnny Day, Chris Hagan, Tim Scott and Hamp Gardner. Chris Barnes will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Saturday evening, August 17th from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. Memorials, in his honor, may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, S.C. 29210.
