Harold Edward Creed, Jr.

CREED-Harold Edward Creed, Jr., age 57, of Graniteville, S.C., son of the late Harold E. Creed, Sr. and the late Veona Derrick Creed, entered into rest at his residence on Wednesday, July 13, 2016. He is survived by sisters, Vickie (John)

Bebbington of Warrenton, Ga.; Connie (Howell) Marchant of Aiken, S.C. and Jackie (Pete) Wolfert of Martinez, Ga.; three nephews, Sean Bebbington, Howie Marchant, Brian Finley and a niece, Kimberly Gilbreath; also, three great nieces, five great nephews and one great-great niece. He will be greatly missed by his family as he always kept laughter going and doing special things for them all. Since the first great nephew was born, he took on the name “Gue” which he continued to be known by until his death. He loved sports, especially golf, which he played at USC Aiken and for other groups afterward. He played softball with church and other leagues. He was an avid sportsman until he became disabled. He still remained, until death, an avid sports enthusiast. He was always very competitive in anything he found interest in, always giving over 100% of himself. Edward graduated with high-high honors from Leavelle McCampbell High School in 1977 and went on to further his education by earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Math from USC-Aiken Campus. He chose not to teach, but went into the Manufacturing Field as a Packing Operator for Beecham Products now Glaxo-Smithkline Pharmaceuticals. He served as Treasurer of the Youth for Christ meetings at Warrenville Revival Center Church and was appointed to a Junior Deacon position and served also as head of the Usher Board at WRC for a period of time. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Friday evening, July 15th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service, celebrating his life, will be held at the Warrenville Revival Center on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Leroy Beard officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be Sean Bebbington, Jonah Bebbington, Brian Finley, Cameron Gilbreath, Tony Derrick and Calvin Derrick.
