SIMPSON-Ms. Gloria Jean Simpson, Age 64, of Warrenville, S. C., wife of the late Donald R. Simpson and daughter of the late Earl Cameron and Theola Mae Lunsford Payne, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 13, 2011. She is survived by a daughter, Donna Simpson of Charleston, S.C.; sons, Chris Simpson of Martinez, Ga. and David Alan Simpson of Warrenville, S.C.; sisters, Janice Payne of Asheville, N.C., Joyce Penland of Fletcher, N.C., Karen Rogers of Swannanoa, N.C., Pixie Cawley of Warrenville, S.C.; grandchildren, Devin James Simpson, Cope, Annelise, Sophia and Brook Simpson and a number of nieces and nephews. She was born in Asheville, N.C. but has been a resident of Aiken County for the past 36 years. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse with Pediatric Associates of Augusta, Ga. for 27 years. She was a member of Order The Eastern Star, Queen City No 101 Aiken, S.C. She loved children dearly, as was evidenced by her profession. She was truly a people person, which yielded her many friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Needless to say, she shall be greatly missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched during the 64 years that God granted her on this earth; however, life does not end with death, as the gift of God is eternal life. A service celebrating her life and home going will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Dr. Kenneth Word officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The pallbearers will be Daniel Lott, Terry Hudson, Lanny Hudson, Ronald Logue, Charles Renew and Todd Hudson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening, September 16th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
