Gladys McElhaney Woodward

WOODWARD- Entered into eternal rest Monday, September 6, 2010, Mrs. Gladys McElhaney Woodward, age 97, of Warrenville, S. C., wife of the late James Roy Woodward and daughter of the late Robert L. and Hattie Timmerman McElhaney. She is survived by grandchildren; Ricky Franklin and his wife, Marsha of Graniteville, S.C., Dee Metzger and her husband, Ed of Moseley, Virginia, Beth Holmes of Graniteville, S.C., Josh Holmes and his wife, Ashley of Batesburg, S. C.; six great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughters, Jean W. Franklin and Lynda W. Holmes. She was born in and has been a lifelong resident of Graniteville, S. C. She retired from the Gregg Division of Graniteville Company. She was of the Episcopal Faith. Her hobbies included sewing, gardening, and she really enjoyed reading and writing poems. She shall be greatly missed by her family and friends; however, God granted her a long good life on this earth and even now, life for her has not ended but only begun in a better land. A service commemorating her life will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Ricky Franklin, Richie Franklin, Josh Holmes, David Cofer, Matt Metzger and Brian Joiner. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight, Wednesday, September 8th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.
