WALKER-Mr. George E. Walker, age 86, of Aiken, S. C., beloved husband of Carrie Lois Walker and son of the late George W. Walker and the late Lizzie Galloway Walker, entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 5, 2011. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Patricia W. Medlock of Fletcher, N.C. and Linda W. Hallman of Aiken, S.C.; a sister, Betty Willis, a brother, Harry M. (Brenda) Walker, all of Aiken, S.C.; grandsons, Chris (Bena) Medlock, Brian (Anna) Medlock, Stephen Medlock, Glen (Jennifer) Hallman and Bradley Hallman. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County. He was a member of Pentecost United Methodist Church in Warrenville. He was a US Army Veteran having bravely served his country during World War II and during his service time, he was awarded the Bronze Arrowhead, the APT Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. He was retired from United Merchants. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His daughters stated that he was the best daddy in the world, and he will live on forever in their hearts. Needless to say, he shall be greatly missed by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched during the 86 precious years that God granted him on this earth; however, life does not end with death, as the gift of God is eternal life in a better place with no more pain or sorrow. A service celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Pentecost United Methodist Church, 2497 Pine Log Rd., Warrenville, S.C. with Rev. Cliff Binion and Rev. Joe Lusk officiating. The interment will follow at the church cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Memorials, in Mr. Walker’s honor, may be made to Pentecost United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 578, Warrenville, S.C. 29851. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.
