George Grady Able

Mr. George "Grady" Able, age 76, passed away on Tuesday March 4, 2025.

He is survived by his daughters, Tammy Swearingen (Adam), Tanya Cato (Sean); son, Michael Able (Susan); brother, Robert Able (Frances), John Able; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Julian B. Able and Christine McGee Able; brother, Paul Julian Able; and sister, Frances Elizabeth Able.

Mr. Able proudly served his country in the United States Navy and the United States Army. He was also very proud to have served in the Honor Guard for President Dwight D. Eisenhower's funeral detail in 1969.

A memorial service honoring his life will be held on Monday March 10, 2025 in the chapel of Napier Funeral Home at 2pm with Chaplain Michael Bell officiating. The graveside inurnment committal with Military Honors rendered will immediately follow at the Historic Graniteville Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
