Gary Lee Dooley

DOOLEY-Mr. Gary Lee Dooley, age 60, of Vaucluse, S.C., loving husband of Cathy C. Dooley and son of Annie Frances Hancock Dooley and the late Zona Ray Dooley, entered into eternal rest at his residence on Sunday morning, June 23, 2013. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Joshua Lee (Kathryn) Dooley of Aiken, S.C., Jeremy (Jessica) Curtis of Graniteville, S.C., Jason Curtis of Stiefeltown, S.C.; a daughter, Amanda Leonard of Vaucluse, S.C.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda Dooley (Roger) Williamson, Cathy Dooley (Danny) Monday both of Warrenville, S.C.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donnie Ray (Terry) Dooley of Graniteville, S.C., Leonard Wayne (Eliza) Dooley of Hephzibah, Ga.; thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was born in and has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was retired from S.C. Dept. of Transportation. He was a wonderful husband, brother, daddy and PaPa with a big heart of gold. He had an unconditional love for children and was like a father to many, and children in turn loved him. His hobbies included boating, fishing and hunting; yes, you could say that he was an avid outdoorsman. He also enjoyed listening to music. A man of his caliber, with so much love to give, will surely be missed by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched along the way; however, death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his family and many loved ones. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening, June 25th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service celebrating his life will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Charlie Kelley and Rev. Leroy Beard officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Shawn Rhoades, Ashley Langford, Joey Patsourakas, Clifton Chapman, Brandon Eubanks and Ronnie Eubanks.
