JOHNSON-Ms. Gail Martin Johnson, age 73, of Vaucluse, S.C., wife of the late Joseph “Joe†Johnson and daughter of the late Fred Williams and the late Grace Martin Williams, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. She is survived by a daughter, Vicky (Keith) Harris of Graniteville, S. C.; sons, Joey Johnson and Doug Johnson both of Vaucluse, S.C.; sisters, Dorothy “Dot†Campbell of Langley, S.C. and Carolyn (Ed) Norris of Vaucluse, S.C.; brothers, Jack (Gail) Williams and Lewis (Gwen) Williams both of Langley, S.C.; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren and her best friend, Dot Scott of Vaucluse, S.C. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was a member of Vaucluse United Methodist Church, where she loved to play the piano and sing. When needed, she also spent her time unselfishly by sitting with elderly people. She had a great personality and a great sense of humor; infact, she could have been a comedian in her younger days. Yes, she shall be greatly missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched during the 73 precious years that God granted her on this earth; however, life for Gail has not ended with death, as God has promised eternal life for all who believe in Him. She has just made a transition to her new Heavenly home, where there is no more pain or sorrow for all is joy and peace in that land. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Friday evening, May 3rd from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A graveside service celebrating her life and home going will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Vaucluse Cemetery with Speaker, Timothy Harley and Rev. Jody Padgett officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the graveside by 12:45 PM. Napier Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Main Street, Graniteville, S.C. 29829 is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
