Epperly and the late Florence Shawver Epperly, entered into eternal rest at his home, with his loving family by his side on Saturday, September 22, 2012. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters; Ethel (Wayne) Plunkett of North Augusta, S.C., Ann (Russell) Johnson of Aiken, S.C., Elaine (Burley) Jones of Aiken, S.C., Darlene (Mickey) Williamson of Burnettown, S.C. and Jenny (Ricky) Dyches of Ridge Spring, S.C.; sons, Mike (Debbie) Epperly of Gloverville, S.C., Charles Epperly of Jackson, S.C. and Dennis Epperly of Warrenville, S.C.; eighteen grandchildren; forty-two great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis H. Epperly and Emory E. Epperly. He was born in Roanoke, Virginia but has been a resident of Aiken County most of his life. He faithfully served as a deacon for twenty-five years at Grace Baptist Church in Langley, S.C. , and he also enjoyed attending worship service at New Testament Church in Barnwell, S.C. His wife and children want the world to know that he was a darling husband, wonderful father, grandfather and friend who has gone to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and he will be greatly missed; however, there is a consolation in knowing that life does not end with death, as God has promised eternal life for all who believe on Him. He has just made a transition to his new Heavenly home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Monday evening, September 24th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. A service celebrating his life and home going will be held Tuesday, September 25th at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Renew and Pastor Robert Mitchum officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The pallbearers will be grandsons: Frank Jones, Russ Johnson, Michael Epperly, Burt Johnson, Chad Jones and Mick Williamson, Brandon Dyches, Freddie Bell and Allan Bell.
