Frances "Sue" Holley Wood

December 31, 1969 — April 3, 2011

WOOD-Ms. Frances “Sue” Holley Wood, age 64 of Aiken, S.C., wife of the late Almon B. Wood, entered into rest on Sunday, April 3, 2011. She is survived by a brother, Richard L. Harris of Graniteville, S.C.; two nieces, one nephew, four grand nieces and one grand nephew. She was born in and has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was of the Baptist Faith. She retired from Gurley’s Grocery Store after thirty-seven years of dedicated service She was a very friendly, sweet lady who never met a stranger and these kind qualities yielded her many friends. She shall be greatly missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched along the way during her lifespan; however life for “Sue”, as she was so fondly known by her family and friends, has not ended, as she has just stepped over to the other side, where there is no more pain or sorrow and life and love never ends. To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord. She loved her family and friends dearly and often stated that she didn’t want to be a burden to anyone; that was just “Sue”, always thinking of others. As per her request, a private graveside service will be held at the Graniteville Cemetery. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Graniteville, S. C. 29829 is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
