Frances Green Ready

READY- Mrs. Frances Green Ready, age 93 of Graniteville, S.C., loving wife for 61 years to Lewis S. Ready and daughter of the late Thomas W. Green and the late Annie Feagin Green, answered God’s call and went to be with Jesus, on the Lord’s day, Sunday, June 1, 2014. She was the last of nine siblings. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Greg West of Aiken, S.C.; a like-a-daughter granddaughter, Ashley (Jon) Nelson, who she just adored, of Graniteville, S.C.; grandchild, Krystale (Kyle) Hammond of Texas; great grandchildren, Jordan and Macey Nelson; Jaxon, Reece and Zoe Hammond. She was born in Graniteville, S.C. and has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church in Graniteville, S.C. She was a wife, mother, homemaker, Nana, Aunt and a second mother to nieces, Sandra, Brenda and Sheila. She loved her family and next to her family, she loved the Lord. She loved to shop; surely there has to be a Mall in Heaven. She also enjoyed cooking and sharing new recipes. She was a very talented lady as she was a great advisor and decorator. Yes, she shall be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched during her lifetime on earth; however, life has not ended for her, as she has just made that great transition to her new Heavenly home, where life will go on forever in a land of no more sad goodbyes. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening, June 3rd from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service, celebrating her life, will be held at St. John United Methodist Church on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 12:30 PM with Rev. Alan Quarles officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Graniteville, S.C. The pallbearers will be Joe Taylor, Jody Padgett, Leon Hayes, Eddie Sheppard, Keith Taylor and Charles Asbelle.
