Frances Herrin Koon

KOON–Ms. Frances Herrin Koon, age 85, of Aiken, S. C., wife of the late Charles Robert Koon and daughter of the late James W. Herrin and the late Carrie Davis Herrin, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 25, 2013. She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Elsie and Larry McGee of Warrenville, S.C.; a special friend and neighbor, Ellajay Newsome of Warrenville, S.C. and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. She was born in Edgefield County, S.C. but has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County. She retired from Graniteville Company with 62 years of service. She was a dedicated member of Breezy Hill Baptist Church in Graniteville, and she was a fine Christian lady, who loved the Lord with all of her heart and soul. She never met a stranger and was a friend to all. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched during the 85 precious years that God granted her on this earth; however, death is not the end for all who believe on Him for the gift of God is eternal life. She has just made a transition to her new Heavenly home where there is no more pain nor sorrow, for all is joy and peace in that fair land. A service celebrating her life will be held on Monday, January 28, 2013 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Riley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The interment will follow the service at the Graniteville Cemetery.
