Dr. Errol Glen Orebaugh, 85, entered into rest Monday November 28 2022 at his residence surrounded by family.

Born in Bradenton, Florida, he was the son of Earl Gardner Orebaugh and Alice Lowe Orebaugh. A resident of Aiken since 1959, he was employed by DuPont and Westinghouse; retired as a Chemist with 35 years of service at Savannah River Laboratories. He received his B.S. from the University of Florida, and his Ph.D. from the Florida State University. Errol was dedicated to his family and his community. He was well-loved and respected by all who knew him. He was a devoted member of St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church.  


Survivors include his wife Lieselotte (Lilo) of 62 years; a sister Judith Orebaugh Andrews (Phil); three daughters, Deborah Lobetti, Linda Orebaugh (Gary Eargle), Tammy Ceips (Imants); four grandchildren, Chase Lobetti, Dana Lobetti Erwin (Justin), Sidney Eargle (Savanna), Cecilie Eargle; two great-grandchildren, Holden Erwin, Austen Erwin.


A memorial service will be held on Monday December 5, 2022 at 3 o’clock in the afternoon at St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church with Rev. Canon Douglas Renegar officiating.  A reception will follow in the Stevenson-McClelland Building.  

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the church.
