FLOWERS-Mr. Ernest I. “Ernie†Flowers, II, age 55 of Aiken, S.C., son of the late Ernest I. Flowers and the late F. Jenise Turner Flowers, entered into eternal rest at Aiken Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, September 25, 2013. He is survived by several loving and caring cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He loved people and was a blessing to everyone that he met. Many will most likely remember Ernie, as he was so fondly known to his family and friends, during his working years, as a cook at the local Waffle House and for delivering payrolls at Concept HR, where he always said “How’s the most beautiful women in Aiken doing?†Ernie has now finished life’s journey and is at peace with his maker, where there is no more pain or sorrow for all is joy in that fair land. A memorial service celebrating his life and home going will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Shiloh Baptist Church in Aiken with Rev. Taylor Wells officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his honor, may be made to the CIF Fund at Shiloh Baptist Church, 3925 Shiloh Church Rd., Aiken, S.C. 29805.
