Mrs. Emmie Barnes Clark, of Graniteville, S.C. entered into eternal rest Monday, June 20, 2022.
Born in 1931 to the late Annie Louise Bearden and Albert Barnes, Emmie worked in many facets at the Graniteville Company until her retirement. She loved the Lord, and was a devoted member of Christian Heritage Church for over 60 years. She enjoyed cleaning, southern gospel music, and reading her Bible. She loved her husband and family dearly, and will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Marion R. Clark Sr.; her parents; brothers, Leonard Barnes and Harold Barnes; and sisters, Annelle Boyd and Joyce Heath.
She is survived by her son Marion “Richie” (Delia) Clark Jr.; daughters, Sharye (Michael) Whisenant and Janet Clark (O’Neal) Chavis; sister, Shirley Seigler; grandsons, Aaron Fanning and Micah Clark; and great-granddaughter Taylor Fanning.
A Funeral Service celebrating her life will be held at Christian Heritage Church Thursday, June 23, 2022, at 12 P.M. with Pastor Stephen Phillips to officiate. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. The burial will follow immediately at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Mrs. Clark’s memory be made to Helping Hands Aiken, John Elliot Ln, Aiken, S.C. 29801.
