Eloise Kennington Odom

ODOM-Eloise Kennington Odom, age 85, of Florence, S.C., daughter of the late Thomas Carl Kennington and the late Nellie Gainey Kennington, entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 24, 2014. She is survived by daughters, Brenda (Ralph) Gainey of North Augusta, S.C., Linda (Calvin) Isgett of Florence, S.C., Mildred Rogers of Darlington, S.C.; sons, Don Oliver and Kenneth (Pam) Oliver both of Florence, S.C.; a sister, Helen (Don) Miles of McBee, S.C.; a brother, C.H. (Sonny) Kennington of Hartsville, S.C.; two grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers, Heyward, James and Carl Kennington, Jr.; sisters, Jeanette Kennington, Lois Brock, Bleeker Brock, Louise Terry, Grace Radkin and Evaughn Leaphart. She was born in Chesterfield County, S.C. and had made her home in Florence, S.C. She was a member of North Gate Baptist Church in Florence, S.C. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who shall be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched during the 85 years that God granted her on this earth; however, death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones. She has finished her journey and is now at home with her maker, the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A memorial service will be held at Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home in Darlington, S.C. on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 11:00 AM. The interment will be private.
