Ellis Edward Cook

COOK -Mr. Ellis Edward Cook, age 66 of Trenton, S. C., loving husband for 43 years to Donie Kneece Cook and son of Lucille Cato Cook Rodgers of Trenton, S.C. and the late Herbert Cook, entered into eternal rest after a long courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, September 21, 2013. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by daughters, Tammy Cook Snipes and Lisa Cook Youngblood and her companion, Jake Waters; a son, Herbert Edward “Eddie” Cook and his companion, Angela Ferguson; sisters, Edna Storey and Jeanette Lamb; grandchildren, Briana Youngblood, Katelynn Cook, Bryson Cook, Zachary Snipes and Addison Ferguson all of Trenton, S.C. He was born in and was a lifetime resident of Aiken County, S.C. He retired as a range walker with the Gregg Division of Graniteville Company. He was a member of the Old Time Gospel Church in Eureka, S.C. His was an avid fisherman and hunter, and he was a diehard Carolina Gamecock Fan. He shall be greatly missed by his family and friends; however, life for him has not ended, as God has promised eternal life for all who believe in Him. He has just made that great transition to his new Heavenly home where there is no more pain or sorrow, and no more sad goodbyes are ever spoken. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Monday evening, September 23rd from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. A service celebrating his life and home going will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. John Huff officiating. The interment will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Aiken, S.C. The pallbearers will be Robert Kneece, Eddie Cook, Zachary Snipes, Bryson Cook, Bobby Holsonback and Kenny Bledsoe.
