Elizabeth Garner Russell

RUSSELL-Ms. Elizabeth Garner Russell, age 78, of Jackson, S.C., daughter of the late Riley Garner and the late Nellie Lucas Garner, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 7, 2014. She is survived by her daughter, Rona Boone of Jackson, S.C. ; a son, Robert Phillips of Augusta, Ga.; six grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Keith Phillips. She was born in Columbia, S.C. but has been a resident of Aiken County, S.C. for most of her life. She was a homemaker, a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. Her family stated that she was a real loving and caring person, who just adored her family and had a deep love for her fellowman. She would do anything that she could for anybody. She was a real Christian lady who also loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and while on this earth, she set an example for everyone to follow. She has finished her journey and is now at peace with her Maker. She is rejoicing on the Streets of Gold and singing “If You Could See Me Now”. She shall be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched during her lifetime; however, death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in everyone’s hearts. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Friday, October 10, 2014 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Marion Britton officiating. The interment will be private.
