Elizabeth, Marie Johnson Rawls

RAWLS-Ms. Elizabeth Marie Johnson Rawls, age 69, of Aiken, S.C., daughter of the late Edmond S. Johnson, Sr. and the late Elizabeth Hornsby Johnson, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 20, 2013. She is survived by daughters, Angela (Robert E.) Tice and Sherry Beecher both of Aiken, S.C., a sister, Fran Johnson Birch of Fairfax, S.C.; a brother, Edmond S. (Sonny) Johnson, Jr. of Elgin, S.C. and four grandchildren. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County. For a number of years and up to it’s closing, she was a cashier with the Winn-Dixie grocery store. She was a member of Redds Branch Baptist Church in Aiken, and she was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She shall be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched during the 69 precious years that God granted her on this earth; however, her memories shall live on forever in the hearts of her family and loved ones. A service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, February 23rd at 11:00 AM at Redds Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Hanna officiating. The interment will follow at the church cemetery. The pallbearers will be Eddie Johnson, James Billingsley, Travis Rawls, Kevin Halsey, Roger Bryan and Michael New. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
