DAVIS-Mrs. Elizabeth “Liz†Whitlock Davis, age 71, of Augusta, Georgia, loving wife of Emory L. “Doc†Davis and daughter of the late John C. Whitlock and the late Ella Clark Whitlock entered into rest on Monday, March 21, 2011. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Ella L. Warren of Warrenville, S.C.; sons and daughters-in-law, John D. and Kathy Kaney of Windsor, S.C., Jeff and Pam Kaney of North Augusta, S.C.; stepsons and their wives, Gene and Sylvia Culbreath, Odell and Pat Culbreath, Rayford and Deborah Davis all of Augusta, Ga., fourteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and of course, her four legged baby, who she called Man-Man. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth A. Pardue, a stepson, Ellis Culbreath and a brother, Jerry C. “Bo†Whitlock. She was born in and lived most of her life in Aiken County, S. C. prior to relocating to Augusta, Georgia the past few years. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother and friend. Her children stated that she was a fantastic cook. Needless to say, she shall be greatly missed by her family and many friends; but there is a consolation in knowing that she is “Only Sleeping†in a better place with no more pain nor sorrow. A service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. James Irick officiating. The interment will follow at the Warrenville Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Matthew Poole, Thomas Poole, Brian Baughman, Michael Borren, Mike Dunn and Chris Anderson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Thurday evening, March 24th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.
