HARMON-Edward Amos “Eddie” Harmon, age 65, loving husband for 14 years to Genice Chitty Harmon and son of the late, Amos Hasting Harmon and the late Edna Stone Harmon, entered into rest peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his wife and family on Thursday, September 29, 2916. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Lynn (Sean) Ewing of Aiken, S.C.; a sister, Linda (Gary) Jackson of Gatlinburg, TN.; a brother, Larry (Robbin) Harmon of Belvedere, S.C. and eleven step-grandchildren. He was born in Newberry, S.C. He was of the Baptist Faith. Eddie loved his family with all his heart, but above all else, he loved Jesus Christ, and he knew when he closed his eyes for the last time here, he would open them, standing with his Savior. Eddie’s family stated that he was so talented at many things, and spent years using his talents with cars, trucks and mechanics. He always enjoyed the outdoors. He loved being in the Smokey Mountains, drinking coffee and taking in the serene views. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports racing of all kinds, and spending quality time with his family and friends. The funniest and most descriptive storyteller, Eddie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial service, celebrating his life, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Speaker Phillip Allen officiating. The interment will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Regency Hospice, 105 Summerwood Way, Suite D, Aiken, S.C. 29803. Napier Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Main St. Graniteville, S.C. 29829, is in charge of the funeral arrangements. You can visit the online guest register at www.napierfuneralhomeinc.com
