Edith Jordan Carpenter

CARPENTER-Ms. Edith Jordan Carpenter, age 84, of Graniteville, S.C., wife of the late Abner J. Carpenter and daughter of the late Luther W. Jordan and the late Ora Mae Padgett Jordan, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 11, 2012. She is survived by a daughter, Donna Stone Eidson of Graniteville; sons, Tommy Stone of Florida and Terry Stone of Arizona; brothers, Sammy R. Jordan of Aiken and James “Jimmy” Walton Jordan of Georgia; two grandchildren, Shawn (Alan) Kneece and Edward J. (Shiela) Eidson, II both of Graniteville and three great grandchildren. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Graniteville, S.C. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Graniteville. She shall be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched during the 84 years that God granted her on this earth; however, life for her has not ended, as God has promised eternal life for all who believe on Him, and she has just made a transition to her new Heavenly home. A service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. James L. Young officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Phil Napier, Daryl Napier, Ricky Napier, Mike Rearden, Chuck Rearden and Stephen Castro.
