Edith McFalls Black

December 31, 1969 — July 22, 2014

BLACK-Ms. Edith McFalls Black, age 82, of Stiefeltown, S. C. wife of the late James A. Black and daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George McFalls, answered God’s call and went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. She is survived by daughters, Allison and Betty Black both of Augusta, Ga.; a nephew, Don Laird and his wife, Gloria of Warrenville, S.C. and her sister-in-law, Nell Key of Warrenville, S.C. She was born in North Carolina but has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was a homemaker, a good mother, a very devoted wife to her deceased husband, a wonderful aunt and sister-in-law. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Burnettown, S.C. She loved her church and her church family. She also enjoyed singing in the choir and also singing solos when called upon. Her sister-in-law, Nell, stated that she was a very friendly, sweet and even comical person, and she always greeted everyone with her beautiful smile. She shall be greatly missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched during the 82 precious years that God granted her on this earth; however, death is not the end for the Christian, as God has promised eternal life for all who believe in Him. She has just made that great transition to her new Heavenly home where all is joy and peace and her crown of life awaits her. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Thursday evening, July 24th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service celebrating her life and home going will be held on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Brendel officiating. The interment will follow the service at the Warrenville Cemetery. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main Street, Graniteville, S.
