He was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Conaway. He was born in Ashland, Kentucky, but has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was a loving husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, grandfather and friend. He was of the Baptist Faith. His family stated that he loved his family, especially his grandchildren, with all his heart. The Carolina Gamecocks also held a special place in his heart; yes he was truly an avid Gamecock Fan. They further stated that he had a real big “Heart of Gold” and would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it. Yes, the world could surely use more people like him. A man of his caliber shall be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched during the 63 years that God granted him on this earth; however, he shall live on forever in the hearts of his many friends and loved ones. A service, celebrating his life, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Clint Jackson officiating. The interment will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Graniteville, S.C. 29829 is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
