Dorothy Herald Perkins

PERKINS–Ms. Dorothy Herald Perkins, age 93, of Beech Island, S.C., wife of the late Alva R. Perkins of Russellville, Kentucky, entered into eternal rest peacefully at home following a courageous and lengthy battle with COPD on Friday January 18, 2013. She was surrounded by loving family and special caregivers with Hospice Care of S.C. The family would like to extend a special heartfelt appreciation to Ralph Smith, a family friend and caregiver for two years. She is survived by nieces: Judy (Ladd) Britt of Beech Island, S.C., Pamela (Wendell) Ellis of Statesboro, Ga., Patricia (Lewis) Billings of Russellville, Arkansas and Merrie (Robbie) Smith of Aiken, S.C.; a nephew, Rick (Debbie) Boyd of Aiken, S.C. She shall be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched during the 93 precious years that God granted her on this earth; however, her memories shall live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones.
