Dorothy Johnson Blackwell

BLACKWELL- Dorothy E. Johnson Blackwell, age 83, of Graniteville, S.C., wife of the late John J. Blackwell, Sr. and daughter of the late Albert Leon Johnson and the late Bertha Coleman Johnson, entered into eternal rest at her residence on Monday, December 29, 2014. She is survived by a daughter, Debora (Ricky) Williams; sons, Lee Roy (Patricia) Blackwell and John J. (Glenda) Blackwell, Jr., seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was born in Graniteville, S.C. and has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County. She was a homemaker, loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was always happy when she was doing something for somebody. She shall be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched during the 83 years that God granted her on this Earth; however, death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her friends and loved ones. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Tuesday evening, December 30th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. A graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Chaplain Dexter Lambert officiating.
