Ms. Doris Booth Faulkner, age 88, of Graniteville, S.C., wife of the late Melzer O. Faulkner, Jr. and daughter of the late Rennie G. Booth and the late Myrtle Johnson Booth, entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 13, 2018. She is survived by sons, Danny Faulkner of Aiken and Melzer Faulkner of Graniteville, S.C.; a daughter, Becky (Morris) Penley of Lake Murray, S.C.; a sister, Avis B. Efird of Graniteville, S.C. and grandchildren; Angie (Kenny) Rye, Susan Penley, Nick Faulkner, Brooke (Grant) Baxley, Josh (Jessee) Faulkner; seven great grandchildren and special nieces and sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by a brother, R. L. Booth. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was a retired Lab Technician from Graniteville Company with 35 years of service. She was a dedicated member of St. John United Methodist Church in Graniteville. She was also a member of the Leisure Club. She loved her family with all her heart, and they in turn loved her. She was a very special lady with a great personality, which yielded her many friends. She was a very special friend to Sammie and Glenda Napier who fondly referred to her as “Ma”. The family stated that she was a very organized person. She is probably up in Heaven organizing the Angels, as she believed in the “Old saying; a place for everything and everything in its place.” A lady of her caliber shall be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched during the 88 years that God granted her on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her family and loved ones. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to the staff on Palmetto Lane LMC Extended Care in Lexington, S.C. and also the staff at Trinity on Lauren in Aiken, S.C. for the care that they gave their loved one during her illness. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Sunday evening, April 15th from 4:00 until 6:00 PM. A service, celebrating her life and home going will be held at St. John United Methodist Church on Monday, April 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Alan Quarles officiating. The interment will follow at the Historic Graniteville Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be Nick Faulkner, Jacob Rye, Kenny Rye, Grant Baxley, Clay Whitt and Mario Booth.
