Donnie Hancock Baughman

BAUGHMAN-Mrs. Donnie (Sissy) Hancock Baughman, age 69, of Vaucluse, S.C., loving wife of Artis Baughman and daughter of the late Joe Hancock, Sr. and the late Beatrice Lamb Hancock, answered God’s call and went home to be with Jesus after a long courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, May 14, 2014. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Marty (Wanda) Baughman of Vaucluse, S.C.; a daughter-in-law, Catherine Herron Baughman of Easley, S.C.; sisters, Irene (Edward) Baughman, Evelyn (Floyd) Harris both of Aiken, S.C. and Betty Franklin of Gloverville, S.C.; brothers, Joe (Jessie Mae) Hancock, Jr. of Eureka, S.C. and Nish (Alice) Hancock of Gloverville, S.C.; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Hancock of Warrenville, S.C.; grandchildren, Sheila Baughman (Patrick) Haldezos, Dawn Lowe (John) Browers, Timothy (Casie) Lowe, Jr.; great grandchildren, Brandon Boyd, Taylor Browers, Bryson Lowe and Brayden Lowe. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bennie Hancock. The family stated that she loved her dog, Coco very much. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She attended Highland Pines Baptist Church in Aiken, S.C. She was a loving wife, homemaker, mother, sister and friend. She shall be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched during the 69 precious years that God granted her on this earth; however, life for her has not ended, as she has just made that great transition to her new Heavenly home where she will have no more pain or sorrow, and she will be sporting a new body. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Friday evening, May 16th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service, celebrating her life and home going, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Wesley Greene officiating. The interment will follow at the Vaucluse Cemetery in Vaucluse, S.C. The pallbearers will be Timothy Lowe, Jr., Tommy Clark, David Clark, Andrew Clark, Gerald Blume and Gerad Blume.
