Dennis F. "Goober" Brown

BROWN-Mr. Dennis F. “Goober” Brown, age 60, of North Augusta, S.C., son of the late Johnnie Dan Brown and the late Alethia Altman Brown, entered into rest on Friday, July 19, 2013. He is survived by a son, Dennis Kevin Brown; grandsons, Ethan Kevin Brown and Carson Riley Brown of North Augusta; a sister, Beverly Cooksey (Donald) Wood of Aiken, S.C.; a brother, Dan P. (Karen) Brown of Langley, S.C.; a special niece, Carrie A. Cooksey of Warrenville, S.C. and other nieces and nephews. Dennis was born in Augusta, Ga. but has been a lifelong resident of the local area. He was of the Baptist Faith. He retired from TTX Hamburg Industry after 30 years of dedicated service. He loved his son and grandsons unconditionally and was an avid golfer and Gamecock Fan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Sunday evening, July 21st from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. A graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Langley, Ss.C. on Monday, July 22, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jonathan Randall officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the graveside by 10:45 AM. Memorials, in his honor, may be made to the funeral home.
