HOLMES-Deborah Turner Holmes, age 59, of Aiken, S.C., loving wife for 41 years to Leslie Holmes, Sr. and daughter of the late Fryson P. Turner, Sr. and the late Joyce Gregory Turner, entered into eternal rest at her residence on Friday, June 6, 2014. In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Henrietta and Thompson Tindall of Ft. Collins, Colorado; Jennifer and Lucky
Gray of Jackson, S.C.; a son and daughter-in-law, Leslie, Jr. and Krisy Holmes of Aiken, S.C.; a brother and sister-in-law, Fryson, Jr. and Melanie Turner of Aiken, S.C.; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was born in and was a lifetime resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was a member of His Way Fellowship Church in Graniteville, S.C. Her family stated that she loved her church, and she had a very strong faith. She was an avid gardener. She was a devoted wife, homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who shall be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched during her lifetime on earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and she shall live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones. She has finished her journey and is now at peace with her Maker. To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Sunday evening, June 8th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. A service celebrating her life and home going will be held at His Way Fellowship Church on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Blasé Mancine officiating. The interment will follow at the Vaucluse Cemetery in Vaucluse, S.C. The Pallbearers will be Lucky Gray, Jason Holmes, Zachary Cunningham, Thompson Tindall, Nathan Johnson, Nathan Gray, Blasé Mancine, III and Taylor Gray.
