David Jerome Turner

TURNER-Mr. David Jerome Turner, age 63, of Graniteville, S.C., loving husband of Sandra Munn Turner, and son of the late Hugh Gordon Turner, Sr. and the late Lillian Busbee Turner, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 27, 2012. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters; Melissa (Michael) Goss of Aiken, S.C. and Tonya (George) Pearson of Graniteville, S.C.; a sister, Beth (Bill) O’Rear of Aiken, S.C.; a brother, Don (Norene) Turner of Summerville, S.C.; eight grandchildren; a special niece, Liz Croom; a special great nephew, Garry Croom, Jr.; a number of other special nieces and nephews and his pet dog, Taco, who he referred to as his son. He was of the Methodist faith. He was the owner of Sandy Acres Farm. He enjoyed working with tractors; infact, he collected and restored antique tractors and other farm equipment. He also enjoyed being an auctioneer. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He shall be greatly missed by his family, many friends and all whose lives he touched during his lifetime; however, he shall live on forever in everyone’s hearts. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Saturday evening, September 29th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service celebrating his life will be held on Sunday, September 30th at 3:00 PM at St. John United Methodist Church in Graniteville with Rev. Alan Quarles officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. Members of the Aiken Antique Power Association will serve as Pallbearers.
