David C. Ready

READY-David C. Ready, age 75, of Graniteville, S.C., loving husband for 56 years (this Friday, July 24th would have been 56th anniversary) to Mae Penwell Ready and son of the late Herman James Ready and the late Clara Ford Ready, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 21, 2015. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Vickie Chalker; sons, Victor Ready, Vince Ready and Virgil Ready all of Graniteville, S.C.; a sister, Barbara Wilson of Langley, S.C.; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Cooper and a brother, Ellis Ready. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church in Langley, S.C.. He served as a deacon for 40 years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was an easy going friendly gentleman with a great personality and a nice smile for everyone he met. A man of his caliber shall be greatly missed by his family, many friends and everyone whose lives he touched during the 75 precious years that God granted him on this earth. Death is not the end for David. He has just made that great transition to his new Heavenly home where the soul shall never die, no more tears to dim the eyes and no sad goodbyes will ever have to be spoken. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 24, 2015 from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service, which will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with Rev.
