David Noel Nichols, referred to as "Noel", age 83, entered into rest on Saturday, March 30, 2024.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife Janice Gray Nichols; sister, Rosemary Hutto (Cecil); niece, Susan Hutto Goodwin; and nephews, Mark Hutto and Phil Gray.
He is preceded in death by his father, Curtis Cortez Nichols, and mother, Mary O. Nichols Hallman; his son, David Leslie Nichols; and his brother, Curtis Leslie Nichols.
A funeral service for Noel and his son, David, will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024, at 3 P.M. at St. James Lutheran Church in Graniteville. The interment will immediately follow at the Historic Graniteville Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the fellowship hall of St. James Lutheran Church.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Hill, Billy Putnam, Mark Goodwin, Otis Forst, and John Miano.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Wayne Fulmer, Ronnie Johnson, Thomas Rumph, Arthur Milligan, Donald Hatcher, Jim Cobb, and Gaines Entrekin.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
