December 31, 1969 — April 16, 2014

BLEVINS-Dale Blevins, age 87, of Aiken, S.C., loving husband of Nell Gunter Blevins and son of the late Nat Blevins and the late Polly Odom Blevins, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 16, 2014. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Michael Dale Blevins of Tennessee and Jeffrey Blevins of California; seven grandchildren; a sister, Billie June Spooner of Bessemer, Alabama; a stepdaughter, Lisa Russell and two stepsons. He was preceded in death by a son, Terrry Lee Blevins, brothers, Sterlin Blevins, Jack Blevins and a sister, Velma Hunnicutt. He was born in Roan Mountain, Tennessee but has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was a US Army Veteran. He was a retired Project Manager with Daniel Construction Company. He was a Mason and a Shriner and was of the Pentecostal Faith. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He shall be greatly missed by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched during the 87 years that God granted him on this earth; however, death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in hearts of his loved ones. A service, celebrating his life will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 4:00 PM with Rev. Clint Jackson and Rev. Roland Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. The interment will follow the service at the Graniteville Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Cordale Blevins, Wesley Blevins, Catherine Blevins; nephews, Mark Canady, Anthony Reeves, Matt Canady, Mike Mitchell and John Canady. Memorials, in Mr. Blevins honor, may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, P. O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN. 38148-0142 or to the American Heart Association, 190 Knox Abbot Dr., Cayce, S.C. 29033.
