Conrad Jackson Hamilton

HAMILTON-Mr. Conrad Jackson Hamilton, age 67, of Langley, S.C., loving husband for 42 years to Barbara Redd Hamilton and son of the late Conrad J. Hamilton, Sr. and the late Virginia Jones Hamilton, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 5, 2013. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Sharon Green Roberts of Fitzgerald, Ga.; sons, Jeff Greene and Michael Greene both of Langley, S.C.; a sister, Mildred Verkey and a brother, Randy Hamilton both of North Augusta, S.C.; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was born in Exeter, Virginia; however, he grew up in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. He has been a resident of Aiken County for the past 40 years. He was a member of Bath Pentecostal Church. He was a US Army Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post 77 in Warrenville, S.C. He was a retired Warehouse Supervisor with Augusta Mill Supply. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He really enjoyed treasure hunting, digging for rocks, emeralds or just whatever he was lucky enough to find, and he loved to make jewelry. The family stated that he was a good man and a wonderful father, who shall be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched during his lifetime; however, death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his many friends and loved ones. He has finished life’s journey and is now at peace with his maker. The service celebrating his life and home going will be held at Bath Pentecostal Church in Bath, S.C. on Monday, September 9, 2013 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Bill Branch officiating. The interment will follow at the Langley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
