SCOTT-Mr. Cleveland Gene Scott, age 51, of Windsor, S.C., loving companion for 17 years to Janet Taylor and son of Sondra Rhodes Clark and the late Tommy Gene Scott, entered into rest Wednesday, May 29, 2013. In addition to his companion, he is survived by sons: Ryan (Meghan) Scott of Graniteville, S.C., Daniel (Ashley) Wilson of Columbia, S.C., Michael (Crystal) Wilson of Charleston, S.C., and Taylor Boen of Aiken, S.C.; daughters, Sarah Boen of Lugoff, S.C. and Jessica Boen of Graniteville, S. C., a sister, Tammy Morris of Windsor, S.C.; eight grandchildren; two nieces, four nephews, a special nephew and buddy, little Brandon Avery. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kadrian Scott Bryant. He was born in Augusta, Ga. but has been a lifetime resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was of the Holiness Faith. He was a self-employed commercial and residential Painter. He was a member of the S. C. National Guards. He will be remembered for his sweet spirit, warm smile and his great love for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Next to his love for his Lord and Savior, came his dedicated and unconditional love for his family. As he never met a stranger, he was also blessed with many friends. Yes, he shall be greatly missed by his family, many friends and all whose lives he touched during the 51 precious years that God granted him on this earth; however, death is not the end for the Christian, as God has promised eternal life for all who believe and trust in Him. He has just made that great transition to his new Heavenly home, where no more sad goodbyes will ever be spoken. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 PM, this Saturday evening, June 1, 2013 at Christian Heritage Church in Graniteville, S.C. A service celebrating his life and home going will follow at 4:00 PM in the Church Sanctuary. The interment will follow the service at the Graniteville Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Ryan Scott, Daniel Wilson, Michael Wilson, Bradley Scott, Brandon Avery, Taylor Boen, Scott Green and Marty Britt.
