Claude Earl Raborn

RABORN-Mr. Claude Earl Raborn, Jr., age 85, of Ridge Spring, S.C., husband of the late Imogene Hensley Raborn and son of the late Claude Earl Raborn, Sr. and the late Fannie Mae Lott Raborn, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 21, 2012. He is survived by his daughter, Claudia Knotts Seigler of Augusta, Ga.; a brother, George Raborn, Sr. of Aiken, S.C.; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was born in Clearwater, S.C. and has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Ridge Spring, S.C. He was a retired millwright worker. He worked for Custom Metal Fabrication for many years. He was a US Army Veteran having bravely served his country during World War II. He was a loving, caring person who was contended as long as he was working on a piece of heavy equipment. He shall be greatly missed by his family and friends; however, death is not he end, as God has promised eternal life for all who believe on Him, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his loved ones. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, November 23rd from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, November 24th at 4:00 PM at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev.Vollie Gibbs officiating. The interment will follow at the church cemetery with military honors. Memorials, in Mr. Raborn’s memory, may be made to the Mt.
