Clarence Edward Deas

December 31, 1969 — April 8, 2014

DEAS- Clarence Edward Deas, age 75, of Aiken, S.C., loving husband for 53 years to Shirley Proctor Deas and son of the late Bill Canada and the late Katherine Deas Canada, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 8, 2014. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Wayne Edward Deas of Aiken, S.C. and Tony Deas of Graniteville, S.C.; daughters, Pam Setzer of Warrenville, S.C. and Teresa Redd of Aiken,, S.C.; brothers, Robert Canada of Augusta, Ga. and Craig Canada of Evans, Ga.; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was born in Augusta, Ga. but has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was a member of Breezy Hill Baptist Church in Graniteville, S.C. He was a retired District Supervisor with Santee Cooper. He was a US Marine Veteran. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He shall be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched during the 75 years that God granted him on this earth; however, death is not the end as God has promised eternal life for all who believe in Him. He has just made that great transition to his new Heavenly home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening, April 11th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. A service celebrating his life and home going will be held at Breezy Hill Baptist Church on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Carl Hayes and Rev. Robert Riley officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. His Grandchildren will serve as Pallbearers.
