Christy Kennerly

Stephanie Christine “Christy” Kennerly, age 53, passed away on December 25, 2024.

Christy entered Heaven on her favorite day of the year, Christmas. To celebrate her life, she leaves behind her husband Lewis, her daughter Abby (Brandon) and children Kyrie, Brandon Jr , Joanna, and Gwen, her daughter Hannah (Jacob) and children Liam and Owen, and her son Lewis III. She also leaves behind her beloved puppies Ozzie and Arlo, and her kitty, Sally. Also surviving are father Mr. S.W. O’Rear and wife, Beth, of Aiken, her mother Patricia Rose of Conway, S.C., her sister Katie O’Rear-Kornegay(Jackie),her brother, Bill O’Rear (Chrissy), her stepsisters, Elizabeth Croom (Garry), Sarah Stull (Jason), and seven nieces and nephews. We loved her so. 

Christy’s first job was at a daycare and her love of children was born. She considered the births of her three children her greatest accomplishments. She loved Edisto beach and could find fun wherever she was. She laughed often and easily and was positive until the end. We find comfort in the knowledge that Christy is in heaven because she was joined with her Dad, sister and brother in baptism as a family at Town Creek Baptist Church. She will be so missed, but she will be a ray of beaming sun shining down on us from above.

The family will greet friends on Saturday January 11, 2025 from 5-7pm at Napier Funeral Home & Crematory.
