Christine Mote Morrison

MORRISON- Nora Christine Mote Morrison, age 95, of Warrenville, S.C., wife of the late Joe H. Morrison and daughter of the late James Elmus Mote and the late Belle Pruitt Mote, entered into eternal rest at her residence on Tuesday, February 25, 2014. She is survived by daughters, Betty Hall of Warrenville, S.C. and Carol Walker of Aiken, S.C.; sons, Merrill Morrison of Aiken, S.C., Jimmy Morrison of Clearwater, S.C., Wayne, Jerry and Ricky Morrison all of Warrenville, S.C. and Roger Morrison of Vaucluse, S.C.; sisters, Lillian Reed and Mildred McAninch both of Gadsden, Alabama; nineteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sonya Morgan and brothers, Ernest F. Mote, Herman Mote and James C. Mote. She was born in Centre, Alabama in 1918 and moved to South Carolina in 1952. She retired from the Aiken Nursing Home, where she was a dedicated Nursing Assistant who loved her patients. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched during the 95 precious years that God granted her on this earth; however, she has finished life’s journey and is now at peace with her maker. A service celebrating her life will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Chaplain Levarn Harris officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. The interment will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Graniteville, S.C. The pallbearers will be Wayne Eubanks, Anthony Tran, Chris Randall, Jason Walker, Joe Walker and Randy Morrison. Memorials, in her honor, may be made to Alliance Hospice of S.C., 802 E.
